Our new KCS app makes staying connected with your child’s school easier than ever! Here are a few quick tips to get the most out of it:
1️⃣ Favorite Your Student’s School – Make sure your child’s school is marked as a favorite so you can access it quickly. You can favorite multiple schools so you can easily flip back and forth between multiple schools.
2️⃣ Set the Default School – Change your default school so when you open the app, your child’s school appears first instead of the district page.
3️⃣ Explore the Menu – Find important info like documents, lunch menus, the school calendar, and the online attendance excuse form—all in one place!

Football practice update for week of August 11, 2025.


Fall sports practices and tryouts begin Monday, August 11, 2025.


Don't forget to upload your fall sports information before practices and tryouts begin on Monday, August 11, 2025.


AJMS Athletics is Going Digital - Create your parent/student account and begin the process of uploading the required forms and documentation for participation in summer flex (if offered) and tryouts for any sport. Visit our website for information on getting started.


For the Week of May 26th:
Tuesday - Late work due date for any work due between 4th nine weeks midterm and May 27.
Thursday - Grade level end of the year classroom and academic awards programs. Sixth grade at 8:30 AM, 8th grade at 10:45 AM, and 7th grade at 1:00 PM. All programs will be held in the auditorium. Parents/guardians are invited to attend.
Friday - Eighth grade move up program at NHS.
Last day of school for students is Monday, June 2nd. Report card for 2nd semester will be given to students on Monday. If not picked up, report card will be mailed to the home address on record.


For the Week of May 19th:
Tuesday - WV General Summative Assessment for Science (8th Grade Only). Kanawha County Track Meet to end the track season after school at Laidley Field.
Wednesday - Spring Sports Awards Program in the school auditorium at 6:00 PM. Following the awards program, "We are Going Digital" parent introduction for summer and 2025-2026 sports in the auditorium.
Thursday - 8th Grade field trip.
Friday - AttenDANCE in the afternoon.
